John Harvey was born in Brisbane and brought up in Kyogle in Northern NSW. He attended the university of New England for 2 years then worked as a taxi driver and painter before travelling in Asia and then living in Japan. Dr Harvey trained at Newcastle University.
Dr Harvey worked at Wollongong hospital, doing paediatrics, psychiatry and anaesthetics before starting his higher degree in general practice. His rural training was in Cooma and after working there he moved to WMP where he enjoys the continuity of care that comes with working at WMP for 20 years.
He enjoys skiing, sailing and languages but most of all his family.
Dr Harvey is not accepting new patients at this time.
