Travel Medicine
Many overseas travel destinations for Australian holidaymakers like Indonesia, Fiji, Thailand, India and many more can present some health risks. Vaccination and/or malaria prevention may be recommended for your upcoming trip. Don't leave it until the last minute, in some cases it can be quite complex - we recommend seeing your doctor at least 6 months before your trip.
We now stock a range of travel vaccines for your convenience including:
- Hepatitis A
- Hepatitis B
- Typhoid
- Yellow Fever (accredited)
- Influenza
- Tetanus
- Whooping Cough.
It's not just about vaccination. Before you travel, it's a good idea to get a letter from your GP with a list of your current medications, your medical conditions and any allergies you may have. Your GP will need to know where you are visiting so they can give vital information on mosquito prevention, hygiene and recommend items for your own travel medicine kit. You will have the opportunity and are encouraged to ask your GP questions about your health and safety for your travel destination.
